Sex offenders banned from city parks.
Not all cities have adopted this strategy to manage the risk of loitering sexual offenders but directors of parks and recreation programs know the danger exists. And child molesters sometimes gain access to minors by working or volunteering in programs offered by parks and recreation departments. They take advantage of heavy traffic during summers and holidays, when screening practices and employee supervision may be challenged.
Praesidium works with park and recreation departments to implement best practice standards for monitoring facilities; screening, training, and supervising employees and volunteers; and preventing sexual acting out between youths.

CIRSA has partnered with Praesidium for the past five years to provide our members with abuse risk management training and they have been excellent to work with. Both their online training courses and onsite seminars are top quality and cover a difficult subject in a very professional manner. I would recommend them to any organization that has this loss exposure.
