Praesidium is proud to announce Amanda Gerson has earned her Praesidium Guardian™ Certification. In her role as Director of Child Protection for Covenant House International and their federation of youth-serving sites, and as a part of her Praesidium Gurardian Certification Work and Learn Assignment, Amanda has diligently spearheaded policy and procedural changes on a large, systematic scale.
Amanda has been keenly intentional in identifying site-specific strengths and sharing those safety measures to all sites across the federation as a whole. These site-specific strengths have included mechanisms for systematically tracking incident report data, as well as consumer rights pamphlets for youth that communicate ways to self-protect and how to report concerns to Covenant House employees.
Additionally, Amanda has collaborated with Covenant House’s many Site Child Protection Officers to evaluate the feasibility and impact of revised policies and procedures. This team approach to implementing organizational change exemplifies a strong, sustainable commitment to protecting youth in Covenant House’s care and maintaining a culture of safety throughout the federation of sites.
We are very proud of Amanda’s work in enhancing Covenant House’s child protection measures and look forward to her continued growth as a Certified Praesidium Guardian.
